This year eXcommerce have released a large number of webshops connected to Mamut. Some first time Mamut users, others experienced webshop users with Mamut.

It was only when pausing for thought over the summer time I realised how well some of our customers were doing.

So whats the reason behind the success, what are the main drivers behind the success of an eXcommerce webshop compared to Mamuts webshop

We surveyed a selection of customers to find out what they thought and we compiled this list.

1. "Get a decent design"
"There was a direct relationship in improving our brand image and the sales that returned there after" - this quote in similar form was the clear winner.

2. "Make sure your products are easy to find."
You would be suprised at the number of poeple who want to talk about their company before selling their product, we found our most succesfull customers had links to categorys and products from the opening page.

3. "Use product reviews"
Every professional eCommerce system must support product reviews, our most succesfull customers have active review sections.

4. "Understand SEO"
Most of our customers have gone from a nobody to somebody, knowing that they can appear on the first page of the search engine results with small effort goes along way, our succesfull customers either paid us to research their keywords or did this themselves, resulting in excellent ranking positions.

 5. "Keep delivery simple"
Yes it might sound strange, but this was a big contributing factor.
The shops with clear delivery information, promising when products would be delivered with either free delivery or 1 standard delivery price were best received.
